Protests as Japan prepares to begin treated Fukushima nuclear wastewater – BBC Recordsdata

Protests had been taking location in South Korea’s capital Seoul over Japan’s deliberate start of treated radioactive water from the wrecked Fukushima nuclear plant.

The top of the UN’s nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, who is in Seoul, has endorsed the design but surveys in South Korea recount overwhelming public opposition to the start.

The plant become as soon as severely broken in 2011 after being struck by a tsunami.
