Hundreds of web customers contain joined forces to build Mothe-Chandeniers chateau in France.
By contributing at least €51 (£45; $61) every, they managed to determine on €500,000 needed to seize the ruined 13th Century castle.
Each participant is now a co-proprietor of Mothe-Chandeniers, which the on-line community plans to revive.
